Summer Sweet Peas

Lathyrus (LA-thi-rus) Sweet Peas

Although we think of sweet peas as vines, some species form bushy clumps. Annual sweet pea (L. odoratus) ia a garden favorite, with often-fragrant pink, lavender, red, or white flowers. With support, the climbing stems can reach anywhere from 30 inches to 6 feet! Cut off the spent flowers frequently to prevent seed formation and promote a longer blooming season.

Grower’s Choice: Annual sweet pea (L. odoratus), Everlasting pea (L. grandiflorus), Perenial pea vine (L. latifolius)
