Dahlia Tuber Planting

Plant tubers of tall-growing dahlias 6 inches deep; short species, 2-3 inches deep. Tall kinds may need staking, and all need watering during dry periods. The brightly colored flowers are single, semi-double, or double, ranging in diameter from the 2-inch Mignon types to the 10-inch Giant types. Dahlias are further classified according to the shape and petal form of the flower head.
